A student of the Federal University of Technology Owerri, FUTO, Owerri, has been reported killed and many others injured in clashes of rival cult groups.
The incident took place on Friday morning when students from Imo State University, IMSU, stormed FUTO in a motorcycle convoy, leading to a confrontation.
During the confrontation, the FUTO Man O War commander was fatally stabbed in the neck by one of the IMSU students.
The death and injuries have left the university community in mourning and shock.
Efforts to reach the spokesperson of FUTO proved abortive his phone was not reachable and did not respond to a text message sent to his phone
