Former world number one Novak Djokovic will take part in the tennis event at this summer Olympics in Paris
The 24-time Grand Slam champion had surgery earlier this month to repair a torn meniscus in his right knee.
The injury forced the 37-year-old Djokovic to withdraw from the French Open quarter-finals.
However, Djokovic took part in this year’s Wimbledon losing in the final to Carlos Alcaraz of Spain in a repeat of last year’s final
He will be seeking his first gold medal when he returns to Roland Garros for the tennis competition, taking place from July 27 to August 4.
Djokovic won the bronze medal at his first Olympics in Beijing in 2008. He lost the third-place matches in London in 2012 and in Tokyo last time out.
