The monthly awards, organised by the League Bloggers Awards, have since 2009, been a platform where the efforts of top performers in Nigeria top flight are recognised.
A total of 6 players have been named in running for the LBA award for
February 2024; and they are
1. Chijioke Mbaoma (Enyimba)
Scored 3 goals in the period, including a brace at home against Gombe United, and another against Shooting Stars.
2. Godsgift Elkanah (Bayelsa United)
Kept a clean sheet in each of his side’s 3 wins in February, including away game at Akwa United.
3. Ibrahim Mustapha (Kano Pillars)
Scored 4 goals in the period under review, including one away at Heartland and Katsina United, each, and a brace in his side’s 5-1 win over Sunshine Stars.
4. Nenrot Silas (Plateau United)
Contributed to his side’s rise in the league table. Scored a brace in their 5-1 away win vs Heartland.
5. Nyima Nyagua (Rivers United)
Scored the only hat trick in the month of February.
6. Tochukwu Micheal (Sporting Lagos)
Scored 3 goals in two of his side’s three wins in the month, including a brace against Akwa United.
