NOA Urges Nigerians On Social Responsibility, Patriotism

Mr Edozie Ajaegbu, The Anambra State  Director, National Orientation Agency (NOA),Awka, has advised Nigerians to imbibe the spirit of patriotism and social responsibility by being constant in payment of their taxes ,rates and other Government approved levels.

Mr.Ajaegbu, handed down the advise when he led some high raking officers of the Agency to familiarization tour to Awka South Local Government Area under the Leadership of Chief Anagor Thank God as the Chairman Transition Committee of the Council Area.

The NOA State Director, who stated that even though the Agency is Federal Para-Ministry, yet it was meant to serve both the Federal, State and Local Government Area across the Country.

The Director, maintained that NOA, has what he described as Community Orientation and Mobilization Officers (COMOS) in the Seven hundred and Seventy- Four Local Government Area of the Country, (774), opined that the law establishing the Agency provides for funding of NOA by the three tiers of Government in the Country, with a view to serving the nation better.

Describing the visit as timely and welcome development, the Chairman Transition Committee for Awka South Local Government Area, Chief Anagor ThankGod, said that it is good to highlight what the Federal, State and Local Government Areas in Nigeria are through the well articulated human oriented Programmes of NOA in the Country, especially at the grassroots.

The Awka South Local Government TC Chairman, Chief Anagor, also described NOA as active strikers, especially when it comes to Mobilization, Sensitization and Orientation of Nigerians to key into the developmental policies, activities and Programmes of the Nigerian Government at all levels and underscored the importance of embracing constructive criticism of the Government actions and inactions by the people .

He pledged his total supports to the programmes and activities of NOA in Anambra State and environs, assuring the NOA State Director and his team that the Leadership of the Local Government is overtly ready to partner NOA in carring out its statutory functions in the Country.

In their separate speeches, the Deputy Directors Special of Duties, Barrister Ifeoma Chijioke, Planning Research and  Strategy, Comrade Felix Agbu, Acting Assistant Director Programmes, Mr Ignatius Obiorah and the Administrative Mr. Peter Onuigbo, thanked the Chairman for the warm reception accorded them and pleaded with him to use his good offices to allocate a conducive office accommodation to NOA in the Local Government Secretariat with a view to enable the Staff of the Agency in the Local Government carry out their duties seamless and hassles.
