Coach Rena Wakama’s squad turned up the intensity on both ends of the court, eventually overpowering the 2023 runners-up by seven points.

The win moves D’Tigress one step closer to a record fifth consecutive AfroBasket title, having previously claimed the championship in 2017, 2019, 2021, and 2023.

D’Tigress will now face the winner of the second semifinal between Mali and South Sudan, as they aim to maintain their dominance in African women’s basketball.
