Nigerian Man Sets New Guinness World Record for Longest Twerking Duration

Sharing is caring

Meet Babajide Isreal Adebanjo, the Nigerian man who’s got the moves and the determination to make history!

Babajide just set a new Guinness World Record for the longest twerking duration, busting a move for an impressive 3 hours and 30 minutes in Lagos.

Adebanjo’s achievement is more than just a fun feat – it’s also a personal triumph and a way to raise awareness for depression. As Guinness World Records notes, his message is one of inclusivity and empowerment: “No record is too crazy, too big, too great, or too little to achieve. There is always space for everyone and their unique attributes.”

Adebanjo’s twerking marathon shattered the previous record held by Elena Sofie Sterlini, who twerked for 2 hours and 1 minute in January 2023.

This achievement is part of a larger trend of Nigerians making their mark on the Guinness World Records. Since Hilda Baci, the Nigerian Jollof Queen, set a new record for the longest cook-a-thon in June 2023, many others have been inspired to try their hand at setting or breaking records in various fields.
