The Nigerian Army recently organized the 31st edition of the Social Media Influencers Seminar at De Peace Hotel and Suite in Ilorin, Kwara State.
The event saw a significant turnout of social media influencers, online bloggers, and energetic youth from various tertiary institutions in Ilorin and its surrounding areas.

With the theme “Emerging Trends on Social Media: Impact on National Security,” the seminar aimed to shed light on the evolving landscape of social media and its potential implications for national security.
The seminar featured distinguished guests, including Major General BA Alabi, the Special Guest of Honour, as well as representatives from sister services and other security agencies.

Major General Alabi, in his opening remarks, expressed gratitude to the people of Kwara State for their support and commended the peaceful nature of the youth in Ilorin and its environs.
He reiterated the commitment of the security agencies to maintain the current level of peace in Kwara State through continued collaboration.
Major General Alabi also called upon social media influencers to exercise responsibility in their online activities for the sake of national security.

Additionally, Major General NC Ugbo, the CCMA, emphasized the importance of participants viewing the Nigerian Army as their own, enabling them to understand the implications of their content on the security and peace of the nation.

The event witnessed the presence of other notable dignitaries, including the Director General of Land Forces Simulation.
