…As He Attends Uke New Yam Festival.

The Transition Committee Chairman of Idemili North local government area, Hon. Chief Stanley Nkwoka has said that, new yam festival is one of the important festival we are poised to keep its flames ever burning.

He made this statement yesterday during the celebration of Uke new yam festival, stating that the festival is where our people gather among other things to refresh and strengthen their bond of love as brothers and sisters amidst eating and dining together.

He congratulated the Traditional ruler of Uke, His Royal Highness, Igwe Charles C Agbala(Igwe Oranyelu 111 of Uke), cabinet members and the people of Uke community for peaceful celebration of the new yam festival and urged them to uphold the culture as it is one of the important festival in Igboland.

Responding, the President General Of Uke community, Chief Peter Onyejegbu appreciated Hon. Nkwoka for identifying with them on the festival and for the numerous projects going on in the council area. He assured him of their unflinching support to Anambra State Government and Idemili North in their efforts to take the state and the council area to the next level of development.
