Wonders they say shall never end. How else can one describe the action of the new deputy governor of Kogi state and his wife during the inauguration of governor Usman Ododo
The deputy governor Salifu Joel Oyibo and his wife left tongues wagging on Saturday after they prostrated before the immediate past governor of the state, Yahaya Bello.
Oyibo’s wife also knelt before Bello and his wife immediately after the deputy governor was sworn-in.
After taking his oath of office administered by the Chief Judge of the state, Justice Josiah Majebi, Oyibo and his wife walked towards Bello and prostrated before him.
Oyibo and Governor Usman Ododo were declared the winners of the governorship election held in November 2023.
However, Ododo made his first set of appointments shortly after he was sworn-in.
He retained Bello’s loyalists, nephew and some commissioners.
