NDE flags-off Cosmetology Training For Women In Abia.

The National Directorate of Employment NDE Abia has flagged off a five (5) day intensive training for 20 women in Abia state on Cosmetology under the Women Employment Branch (WEB).



Delivering a keynote address of the Director General, NDE, Mallam Abubakar Nuhu Fikpo, the State coordinator NDE Abia, Mrs Tessy Wachuku encouraged the beneficiaries to give the training the utmost commitment it deserves as Abia State is one of the few states selected to run the training.



He expressed confidence that the training will help the beneficiaries to become financially independent, contributing their quota in the economic growth of the state and nation at large and in turn train others in the marketable skill.



Earlier in an address, the Abia state NDE coordinator, Mrs Tessy Wachuku, who shared testimonials of women who had received similar training in the past, encouraged the beneficiaries not to take the training for granted.



In a brief speech, the Head OF Unit, Women Employment Branch (WEB) , NDE Abia, Miss Oluchi Odukobi, challenged the beneficiaries to take advantage of the training as opportunities await them in the society.



Responding on behalf of other beneficiaries, Mrs Mary Eke, thanked the Federal Government and the Directorate for approving the training and selecting Abia State as one of the few selected states to run the program.


She gave their firm promise that they will put in their best during the training and at the end become employers of labour.
