Commercial activities have resumed fully in Enugu state after the uncertainty of the last two days following Nationwide protests
Ekweanaedo went round some major places in Enugu to find shops markets and businesses opened for business
At the popular Ogbete market, the usual hustle and bustle associated with market life have returned with buyers and sellers scrambling to outdo each other
Major roads like Agbani, Garki, Holy Ghost were bubbling with life after residents stayed away on Thursday and Friday
Gozie told Ekweanaedo that though he supports the ongoing protests across the country but frowned at the habit of looting people’s stores. Same people who are suffering the bad government of Bola Tinubu.
Another shop owner Chidubem said the fear of not knowing what will happen on Thursday made many of them to stay away from their shops. He however expressed joy that Enugu is calm and appealed to the protesters to go about their protests peacefully.
The return of economic life has brought some relief to the city, as many hmthought the recent unrest would lead to a prolonged period of economic downturn.
Meanwhile the protests entered day three today with Organisers vowing to go the long hog despite appeals for them to stop.
