The South West Zone D of the National Association of Nigerian Students has given President Bola Tinubu two weeks to address the issue of the high cost of living in the country or be ready for a showdown.
The position of the student body was made known in a statement after a meeting in Osogbo, Osun State yesterday.
The statement was signed by the Zonal Coordinator, Comrade Alao John, the Zonal Secretary, Comrade Sanni Olamide, and the Zonal Public Relations Officer, Comrade Bamigboye Oluwadamilola.
The association expressed deep concern over the hardship being faced by nigerians and issued a strong call to action at President Tinubu to urgently address the issue.
It subsequently issued a 14-day ultimatum for President Tinubu to respond to its demands and implement concrete measures to tackle the cost of living crisis.
It warned that if the government fails to heed to its demands the students will embark on a mass protests,
The association emphasized the importance of swift and decisive action to mitigate the impact of the cost of living crisis and restore hope and dignity to millions of struggling Nigerians.
