Senator Sa’idu Alkal, the Minister of Transport, visited Gateway State to participate in the 18th National Council of Transportation Conference. During the visit, the Minister reaffirmed the government’s dedication to sustainable transportation systems and alternative energy sources.
The 18th National Council of Transportation Conference, themed “Enhancing Innovations and Technologies for Sustainable Transportation: Tackling the Energy Challenges,” provided a platform for discussions on advancing sustainable transportation solutions. Senator Sa’idu Alkal’s visit to Gateway State highlighted the state’s commitment to leading the way in sustainable transportation.
One of the key topics of discussion during the visit was the implementation of the Compressed Natural Gas (CNG) project and the introduction of e-bikes. These initiatives aim to promote a greener environment, combat global warming, and address transportation challenges faced by the public.
Gateway State also shared insights into its Multi Modal Transport Master Plan, which has created numerous opportunities for residents and travelers alike. The plan has played a significant role in fostering business growth at all levels, with the establishment of a Cargo Airport at Iperu and an Inland Dry Port at Papalanto. These infrastructure projects cater to the material needs of the rapidly expanding industrial cities within the state and beyond.
