The Mayor of Orumba North Local Government Area, Capt. Barr. Casmier Nwafor (Rtd), hosted a significant event today as he welcomed the Honourable Commissioner for Education, Prof. Ngozi Chuma-Udeh, and board members of the Anambra State Universal Basic Education Board (ASUBEB) to the Oko community for the official handover of Ebenese Public Primary School. This handover signifies the formal integration of the newly constructed school into the state’s education system.

The process began with the Mayor’s visit to the Commissioner’s office, where he, along with the leadership of the Oko Town Union, applied for the government’s takeover of the project. The school, entirely built and funded by the Oko community through a public-private community partnership (PPCP), demonstrates the community’s dedication to Governor Chukwuma Soludo’s Solution Agenda.

During the ceremony, the Mayor expressed his gratitude to the Commissioner and ASUBEB for their prompt response and emphasized the importance of continued collaboration between Orumba North LGA and the state government in fostering grassroots development.

Echezona Okafor.
