Senator Okechukwu Ezea, LP Lawmaker representing Enugu North, has denied receiving any kind of palliative from Bola Tinubu for his constituents.

In a statement issued on Monday, Senator Ezea clarified:
“I want to categorically state that I have not received any material palliative, neither money nor food items, from the federal government for my constituents.”

He further committed to distributing any such aid transparently, in accordance with his “principle of equity and fairness.”

The message also made clear that Senator Ezea has personally provided funding for the distribution of rice bags throughout all 102 of his district’s wards in the new year, in recognition of the severe suffering his citizens are experiencing.

The statement verified that the supplies had been distributed to the beneficiaries at the local government level and that the ward-level distribution process was presently in progress.

The Senator’s dismissal follows reports in the media that lawmakers got these sorts of government presents.
