Hon. Abdulmumin Jibrin Kofa, a key political ally to Senator Rabi’u Musa Kwankwaso of the Kwankwasiyya Movement, on Sunday, disclosed the readiness of the New Nigeria People’s Party (NNPP) to forge alliances, notably with the All Progressives Congress (APC) and other political entities.
Speaking during a Special Prayer event held in his country home in Kofa, Bebeji, Kano, Hon. Jibrin expressed the NNPP’s openness to political collaborations beyond the APC, extending the possibility to include other parties.
The prayer session, attended by 1,000 Ulamas, was dedicated to President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, Senator Kwankwaso, and Governor Abba Kabir Yusuf, with a focus on Governor Yusuf’s impending Supreme Court case.
Highlighting his close ties with President Tinubu, Hon. Jibrin emphasized his commitment to fostering a harmonious relationship between the President and Senator Kwankwaso.
According to Jibrin, “The NNPP is a very promising party and still open to collaboration, alliance, and merger with the APC and even with the PDP, LP or any other party that shows interest, so long as it is for the good of Nigerians”.
The lawmaker, representing Kiru/Bebeji constituency in the House of Representatives, pledged to leverage his political network to address issues in Kano politics, aiming to de-escalate current tensions surrounding the governorship seat.
Following the prayer session, Hon. Jibrin extended his community engagement by hosting 5,000 primary school children from his constituency. He provided them with school kits and assured them of the federal and state governments’ positive initiatives, particularly in the realms of free education and school feeding programs.
