Kenyan Police Offer Reward for Capture of Escaped Serial Killer

Sharing is caring

Kenyan police have launched a manhunt and offered a cash reward for information leading to the arrest of Collins Jumaisi, a suspected serial killer who escaped from a Nairobi police cell on Tuesday.

Jumaisi, 33, is accused of murdering and dismembering dozens of women and has confessed to killing 42 women over a two-year period.

He escaped from a police station in an upmarket area of Nairobi along with 12 Eritreans. Five officers suspected of aiding his escape have been freed on bond despite prosecutors seeking a longer detention period.

The escape has sparked outrage and raised questions about police involvement or failure to prevent the killings.

Kenya’s police watchdog is investigating whether there was any police involvement or failure to act.

This is the second high-profile escape from custody in Nairobi in six months, fueling concerns about police accountability and effectiveness.
