Kaduna state government has revealed that they had a strategic meeting with the top management team from Zipline, and discussed something truly groundbreaking.
They’re launching the biggest health commodities distribution center called KD2, in collaboration with the Kaduna State Government.
The meeting focused on establishing a long-term partnership that takes advantage of investments from development partners.
This partnership will complement the state’s investments in primary healthcare.
Pfizer, a renowned pharmaceutical company, is committing a whopping $1 million to support the distribution of health commodities, especially vaccines and blood.
Worthy to note that Zipline has been doing some amazing work in delivering on-demand medical commodities using drones.
They’ve been able to reach areas in need with timely deliveries, saving lives and reducing inventory costs. Their services have been benefiting numerous health facilities across Kaduna State.
Governor Uba. Sani expressed gratitude for the efforts of the entire team involved in making this collaboration happen noting that It’s a remarkable step towards delivering quality, timely, and affordable healthcare services to the people of Kaduna.
