Kaduna State Governor, has received in audience the Vice President, His Excellency, Kashim Shettima, GCON, who led a high-powered Federal Government delegation to Sir Kashim Ibrahim House to condole the government and people of Kaduna State over the loss of lives in Tudun Biri village due to the unfortunate military drone attack.
The Vice President disclosed that the execution of the PULAKU Initiative for Internally displaced persons will start in Kaduna State, with Tudun Biri Community as the first beneficiary. The Federal Government, the VP also disclosed, has ordered full investigation into the tragic incident and a report is being expected soon.
In his brief remarks, he stated that immediately he received information about the unfortunate incident, he dispatched top government officials to Tudun Biri village to assess the situation.
He also noted that he evacuated the injured to Barau Dikko Hospital, Kaduna for prompt medical attention and took care of their medical expenses. The State Government also swiftly dispatched relief materials to Tudun Biri village to lessen the pains of the families of the victims.
His statement reads, “Before I received the Vice President at Sir Kashim Ibrahim House today, I accompanied the nation’s number two man on a sympathy visit to injured victims of the Tudun Biri unfortunate military drone attack at the Barau Dikko Hospital, Kaduna.
We wish to express our profound gratitude to Mr. President for sending a high-powered delegation to condole the government and people of Kaduna State, and for picking Tudun Biri village as the first beneficiary of the PULAKU Initiative for Internally Displaced Persons. We also thank Mr. President for promptly responding to our call for full investigation into the unfortunate incident and compensation for families of the victims. We must not fail to thank the Vice President for working around the clock to calm frayed nerves and for his empathy”, he concluded.
