The Nnewi Sports Club recently filled with tennis lovers drawn across Nnewi metropolis for the opening game of Chief Louis Onwugbenu lawn tennis tournament to mark his 71st birthday.
Chief Onwugbenu who arrived Nnewi Sports Club in the company of Chief Innocent Chukwuma was received by Dr Ugoo Uzodike led management team
Speaking briefly at the event ,Dr Uzodike thanked Okpatazuorah Nnewi for bringing tennis lovers together to compete in his honor which will bring more tennis development to the club and equally foster spirit of sportsmanship . In his words our prayers is that the good Lord will continue to keep you in good health and more strength to continue all your good works for humanity
He equally ceased the opportunity to inform the Players about the demise of the sports Emperor Senator Ifeanyi Ubah and late Chief Ajulu Uzodike,a minute silence was observed in their memory before the commencement of the game.
