In a bold step toward industrial revitalization, the Imo State Government has officially transferred control of the Standard Shoe Industry to Jean Paul Group Limited, a foreign firm specializing in shoe and garment production.
This development was announced by the Commissioner for Industry, Mines, and Solid Minerals, Chief Ernest Ibejiako, during a press briefing at his office. He reaffirmed the government’s unwavering commitment to fostering industrial growth and creating a business-friendly environment for investors.
Chief Ibejiako further disclosed that the government has established designated free trade zones to accommodate manufacturing industries. He also assured that by the second quarter of the year, Imo State will experience a stable electricity supply, a crucial factor in sustaining industrial development.
Emphasizing the administration’s dedication to economic transformation, the Commissioner highlighted that various ongoing government projects are progressing steadily and will soon be completed. These efforts are expected to propel Imo State toward greater industrialization and economic prosperity.
