The Imo State Police Command has observed with dismay the indiscriminate use of vehicles with tinted windscreens, particularly shuttle buses, as well as vehicles with covered plate numbers and unauthorized use of sirens, in clear violation of existing regulations. The Command would like to remind the public that the ban on the use of such vehicles remains in full force.

In addition, the ban on the use of motorcycles within the Owerri metropolis is still in effect. The Command urges all motorcycle riders to comply with this directive to maintain safety and order within the city.

Violators of these regulations will have their vehicles impounded, and strict enforcement actions will be taken. Area Commanders, Divisional Police Officers, and traffic officers have been directed to ensure strict compliance with these directives.

The Commissioner of Police Imo State Command, CP Aboki Danjuma urges all vehicle owners, operators, and motorcycle riders to adhere to these regulations to ensure the safety and security of all residents.
