Sharing is caring

The Imo State Police Command has taken Inspector Augustine Odidika and three others into custody in connection with the murder of lawyer Chinedu Nwowu in Mgbidi Town on January 29, 2025.

Prior to his death, Nwowu had submitted a petition to the Assistant Inspector-General of Police, alleging that Inspector Odidika had issued threats against his life.

Unfortunately, the petition was not acted upon before the fatal incident occurred.

In response to the killing, the Nigerian Bar Association (NBA), Owerri Branch, led by Chairman Chief ris Ihentuge, engaged in discussions with Imo State Commissioner of Police, Aboki Danjuma, on January 27, 2025.

During the meeting, the NBA stressed the importance of a comprehensive investigation and assured their full support in ensuring justice is served.
