Princewill Ugochukwu Amuchie, the member-elect for Aboh-Mbaise state constituency in Imo House of Assembly, has been inaugurated by the Speaker, Chike Olemgbe. His inauguration was held on Thursday during plenary.
Amuchie, it would be recalled, contested for the seat under the platform of PDP, and after losing out at the March 18 House of Assembly election, approached the tribunal to seek for redress. He insisted that the APC candidate, Eddy Obinna, was wrongly declared winner of the election by the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC).
Amuchie’s victory at the tribunal and the final judgment at the Appellate Court has uttered the statistic position of the 10th Imo Assembly where the ruling APC currently parades 23 members, PDP 2 members, one LP and one Accord party member.
Amuchie and Modestus Osakwe of Isu state constituency are the two PDP members while the member-elect for Owerri Municipal, Clinton Amadi, who also won through the Appeal Court, ran under LP party.
