The National Coordinator of All Progressives Grand Alliance (APGA) Media Warriors Forum, Evang. Chinedu Obigwe has portrayed the new claimed partnership between Ifeanyi Ubah and Uche Ekwunife for the Anambra State 2025 governorship and agent governorship race separately on the foundation of the All Progressives Congress (APC) as self serving and not in that frame of mind of masses of Anambra State.
Obigwe in a statement described the alliance as a pure business venture where the actors are after their pockets and also seeking for political survival.
“Both of them have reached their political end point and they are now fighting a battle of political survival. Ifeanyi Ubah knows very well that for him to return to the Senate for 3rd term can be likened to a camel passing through the eye of a needle hence his reason for defecting to APC as the ruling party at the Federal level.
“Well, they can lie and deceive Abuja based politicians but when they return to Anambra, the good people of the State will confine them to where they rightly belong. We know their antecedents and will not make the costly mistake of entrusting the future of five million ndi Anambra in their hands”.
“The 2025 governorship election is still far but they started the campaign early to deceive APC Governors, Ministers and other appointees of APC at the Federal level. They are boasting to APC leadership in Abuja that they have the capacity to whittle down Peter Obi’s political influence and take over the State from Governor Soludo in 2025”.
“The only thing they can get from their political alliance is money and contracts from APC led Federal government but as for Anambra governorship position, it is a no go area for them as long as Anambra electorates are concerned. Ifeanyi Ubah and Uche Ekwunife are only scheming to corner the huge donations from APC Governors in the guise of contesting the 2025 governorship election and nothing more”.
“With ifeanyi Ubah and Uche Ekwunife joining the 2025 governorship election on APC platform, I say it boldly that both of them will be defeated by Governor Soludo because they are not match for him. I can close my eyes to predict the outcome of the result of the 2025 governorship election and I have no doubt in my mind that APGA will take a well deserved 1st position in that election.
“As I predicted earlier, their alliance will not last, they will scatter in different ways immediately after their shameful defeat in the 2025 governorship election. APGA faithful are not perturbed because the two of them are familiar political foes.”
