The Idemili South Council Mayor, Hon. Mrs Amaka Obi (Iyom Ife-Abata), yesterday attended Service of Songs and Night of Tributes in honour of Late Senator Ifeanyi Ubah (Ebubechukwuzo).
The event which took place at Harbour Point, Victoria Island attracted men and women from all walks of life, marked the commencement of a week-long funeral rites of Senator Ifeanyi Ubah.
The atmosphere was one of unity and respect, as politicians and business magnates set aside their differences to honour Senator Ubah, who served as Senator representing Anambra South in Red Chamber until his passing.
In her tribute, Hon. Obi described Senator Ubah as passionate leader who has empowered many people especially women and youths, stating that she has lost a great brother and prayed for repose of his soul.
