Simon Ekpa, a Biafra activist, has stated that he gave up his Finnish political career to further Biafra activism.
Ekpa, who is the Prime Minister of the Biafra Republic Government In-Exile, or BRGIE, made this announcement on Thursday via a statement posted on his official X account.
He claims that he has been concentrating on the realization of Biafra self-rule during the past few years.
He emphasized that the cause of freeing Biafra from the purported marginalization by the Nigerian government is the only thing that matters to him.
“I have decided not to take part in the coming election and focus on Biafra Liberation in Finland.
“I have served my people, community and region since 2012,” he stated.
Recall Ekpa declared that Biafra would be proclaimed on December 2, 2024.
This is in the midst of his ongoing criticism of the Nigerian government, even in light of the extradition plan.
The Nigerian government had re-arrested Mazi Nnamdi Kanu, the leader of the Indigenous People of Biafra, in July 2021, and he has remained in detention in spite of appeals for his release.
