Former Super Eagles captain Ahmed Musa has debunked rumours that he has retired from the Nigeria national team.
The 31-year old has been a free agent since February after the termination of his contract with Turkish Super Lig side Sivasspor.
Since the 2023 AFCON in Côte d’Ivoire, Ahmed Musa has not been called up to Super Eagles team again.
And rumors concerning his retirement started mounting but the 2013 AFCON winner debunked them saying he just took a break.
“I only took a little break from the national team. But I didn’t exit the team,” Ahmed Musa told reporters after a charity match.
