Nigerian Female Musician Simi has been speaking on how she met her musician husband Adekunle Gold
She said she never intended to marry a musician from the onset.
The singer claimed when she first met her husband, Adekunle Gold, she didn’t know he was into music.
Simi said Adekunle Gold was a fan of hers and they started dating when she discovered he was a nice guy.
The mother of one whose real name is Simisola Kosoko, is married to fellow singer, Adekunle Gold revealed this on the latest episode of Tea with Tay posted by media personality Taymesan.
Simi said she did not know Adekunle was a musician when she met him. In Simi’s words:
“When I first met my husband, I didn’t know he was singing because me I already said I cannot marry a singer. I didn’t know he was singing, I think he was even a fan.”
Simi had stated that even though she didn’t know Adekunle was a musician, they started dating because he “was a really nice guy”
She also said something similar in a 2023 interview with The Beat 99.9 FM, adding that they dated for five years before finally got married in 2019.
The 35-year-old recounted how they eventually met at one of her concerts and how his “niceness” made her accept dating him months later. Simi said.
