The Newly Inaugurated Transition Committee Chairman Of Idemili South Local Government Area, Hon. Mrs Amaka Obi, has said that, human capital development remains her administration’s priority in fast tracking growth and development.
She said, it’s not just the mere existence of youths that makes the difference in the society, but their vocation and passion to key into government’s poverty alleviation programmes through skills acquisition in computer studies, tailoring, bakery, and others rather than charity which she described as a poverty trap.
She noted that Jordan is a small country not well endowed with natural resources but with better qualified human resource capabilities among her peers in the region.
And through developing their human resource, they developed their nation. She said that, one thing that has never failed any nation is human resource capacity.
While urging the people of the council area to be part of youth empowerment programmes going on in the state, she said, the third skill acquisition training will kick-off very soon, adding that, youth empowerment is the solution to unemployment.
Human Capital Development Is One Of Our Priority, Hon. Amaka Obi
