Hon. Uchenna Harris Okonkwo Commissions Modern ICT Centre In Ojoto

The Honourable Member representing Idemili North and South Federal Constituency, Hon. Uchenna Harris Okonkwo, on 1st January 2025, commissioned a newly established modern ICT centre at Boys Secondary School, Ojoto.

Speaking at the event, Hon. Uchenna Harris Okonkwo highlighted that the solar-powered computers, printers, and internet services in the ICT Centre will benefit the youth of Idemili and Ojoto, particularly students preparing for national examinations such as JAMB, WASSCE, and SSCE. He further emphasized that the centre would support youths interested in acquiring digital skills such as content creation, digital marketing, graphic design, and video editing.

In his address, the royal father of the occasion, HRM Igwe Gerald Obunadike Mbamalu Eze Ojoto III, Eze Oranyelu I, described Hon. Okonkwo as a worthy son of Ojoto and a visionary leader. He commended the lawmaker for his developmental initiatives, noting that the ICT Centre will positively impact the community. He also praised Hon. Okonkwo for his people-oriented projects across Idemili.

Similarly, the President General of Ojoto Akanasato Union (OAU), Chief Barr. Ernest Obunadike, represented by the Secretary General of OAU, Comrade Donkatchy Chimbiko, commended Hon. Okonkwo for his contributions to Ojoto’s development, particularly in health, empowerment, and education. He also highlighted other areas of need within the community. In response, Hon. Okonkwo assured them of his commitment to partnering with well-meaning Ojotorians to bring further development and shared prosperity to the community.

The event was graced by several dignitaries, including High Chief Tony Okonkwo, Chief Ndubueze Emma Emejulu, Chief Kingsley Udechukwu, Chief Romeo Anyia, Labour Party Chairman Idemili South Hon. Edozie Maduabum, Hon. Emma Ikweme, Chief Mrs. Oguchukwu Ejiofor, teachers, ICT professionals, and many others.
