Hon. Uchenna Harris Okonkwo Commends Labour Party NEC Meeting, Says Party On The Path To Greatness

The Honourable member representing Idemili North and South Federal Constituency, Hon. Uchenna Harris Okonkwo, has commended the Labour Party’s National Executive Council (NEC) meeting and stakeholders’ interactive town hall held today, April 9, 2025, at the Transcorp Hilton Hotel in Abuja.

The Labour Party NEC meeting, convened by the party’s national leader, H.E. Peter Obi, and Abia State Governor, H.E. Dr. Alex Otti, aimed to address internal party issues, particularly the recent Supreme Court judgment on the party’s leadership.

Hon. Okonkwo was among the high-level delegation of the Labour Party, led by Governor Alex Otti, that visited the headquarters of the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) in Abuja to formally present a certified true copy of the Supreme Court judgment concerning the party’s leadership.

During a media chat, the lawmaker commended all members of the National Caretaker Committee, stakeholders, serving and former senators, senatorial candidates of the Labour Party (LP), serving and former members of the National Assembly (NASS) and House of Representatives (HOR), all serving members of State Houses of Assembly, and all members of the former LP National Working Committee for their commitment to the party’s growth. He noted that the party is on the path to greatness, emphasizing that it is time for unity to elevate the party to enviable heights.
