The Mayor of Idemili South Local Government Area, Hon Mrs Amaka Obi (Iyom Ife-Abata), earlier yesterday paid a courtesy visit to the Chairman of Anambra State Traditional Rulers Council, Igwe Chidubem Iweka of Obosi community in his palace, Obosi, Idemili North LGA.
She was accompanied by the members of executive council of Idemili South, representative of the legislative council and some stakeholders of Idemili South.
In her presentation, Hon. Mrs Amaka Obi, congratulated Eze Iweka on his appointment noting that it is a well deserved office.
Expressing her confidence that he will deliver beyond expectations, Hon. Mrs Amaka Obi, encouraged Eze Iweka to strengthen the traditional institution in Anambra especially in Idemili South and harped on the need to ensure that all pending Igweship tussle in Idemili South are resolved amicably.
She noted that Idemili South needs peace across board to enable unity and progress of Idemili South especially as Anambra election period is about to emerge.
She promised to always support the progress of traditional institution in Idemili South and Anambra at large and appreciated Eze Iweka for the warm welcome.
On his part, an APGA stakeholder, Chief Ikenna Iyiegbu, noted that Idemili needs to be united under one umbrella to build a more productive, peaceful and livable environment.
He noted that Idemili North and South progressive collaboration is very pivotal for the needed development and growth to be enthroned.
Responding, Eze Iweka, noted that he has started already in making necessary consultations and engagements that will bring lasting peace and progress in Idemili and Anambra at large.
He appreciated Hon Mrs Amaka Obi and her entourage for the visit and prayed God to bless their endeavors.
