Hon Dom Okafor, Holds 1st Town Hall Meeting In Aguata, Showcase Accountability and Transparency

Over 400 Constituents Of Aguata Federal Constituency gathered at the Orthon Palace Hotel, Ekwulobia, on June 30, 2024, for a town hall meeting with their representative in the House of Representatives, Hon. Engr. Dom Okafor. The event was a platform for Hon. Okafor to render an account of his stewardship in the past year and listen to the feedback and suggestions of his constituents.

In his keynote address, the Chairman of the day, Hon. Adol Victor Ezeoke (Omenamkpo), commended Hon. Okafor for his wisdom in organizing the town hall meeting and urged all stakeholders to engage constructively to ensure enhanced representation for Ndi Aguata.

Hon. Okafor presented his legislative scoresheet, highlighting his achievements in various sectors, challenges faced, and future plans for the constituency. He encouraged frank and constructive feedback from the constituents, emphasizing his commitment to transparency and accountability.

The interactive session that followed saw constituents raise concerns and seek clarifications on various issues, including empowerment distribution, creation of Orlu State, inclusion of the disabled community, and private partnership vision. Hon. Okafor responded to each question, assuring his constituents of his dedication to serving all, regardless of political affiliation.

Goodwill messages from notable dignitaries, including Prof. Chukwuma Charles Soludo CFR, the Solution Governor of Anambra State, Barr. Sly Ezeokenwa, National Chairman of APGA, Hon. Anthony Muobike, Member representing Aguata II Constituency, Dr. Chibueze Ofobuike, Transition Chairman of Aguata Local Government Council, Nze Henry Dim, Chairman ASATU Aguata, HRH Igwe Chidi Stephen Ezenwugo, Obi of Uga and Chairman Aguata Council of Traditional Rulers, Professor Phil Eze, and Chief Jude Osude, acknowledged Hon. Okafor’s impactful work and commitment to the constituency.

The meeting concluded with a vote of thanks from Hon. Vitalis Okoroakor and a closing prayer, marking a successful and engaging town hall session.
