Hon. Anayo Okpalaeke, Member Representing Aguata Constituency 1 recently commenced the repair and rehabilitation of the steps leading to Ezekoro Spring Water, in Achina. This is the very first time the Spring Water is attracting active government intervention.
Hon. Okpalaeke as part of his commitment towards reviving the tourist centres in Aguata Constituency 1, commenced the repairs of the steps at Ezekoro Spring, in order to ease the movement to and fro the spring water of Ezekoro Achina.
Recall that the Ezekoro natural spring water has 244 steps, but which was constructed by the Europeans – the colonial masters in the past
There has never been a major rehabilitation project on the steps, which have been considerably beaten by both age, weather and usage.
It is therefore a heart-warming development that all-important spring is attracting the attention of the House Member.
The steps, when completed, will put the Spring once more in the map of attractive tourist centres of the state.
