The Mayor of Idemili South local government area, Hon. Mrs Amaka Obi(Iyom Ife-Abata), alongside Deputy Mayor, Hon. Ifeanyi Anakuba inspected Idemili South healthy living garden at the council secretariat, Ojoto.
Speaking during the inspection, Hon. Obi appealed to women in the council area to cultivate healthy living garden to boost food production in Idemili South and Anambra State.
Some of the crops under cultivation are maize, cassava, vegetables as well as other varieties.
Council Mayor stated that the garden would serve as morale booster to other women in Idemili South to imbibe the advocacy of Anambra’s First Lady for “Healthy Living Garden”.
She encouraged all the women in the council area and Anambra State in general to engage in healthy living garden to feed their families and have more income.
