In a passionate plea, Idemili South Mayor, Obi Amaka Iyom has urged women to participate in the Continuous Voters Registration (CVR) exercise once the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) announces a new date. The Mayor emphasized the significance of obtaining Permanent Voter Cards (PVCs) in preparation for the November 8, 2025, gubernatorial elections.
Speaking at a recent Women’s Conference, held at Dora Akunyili Women’s Development Center Awka, Mayor Amaka highlighted the importance of women’s participation in the electoral process, noting that it guarantees the people a voice in governance and enables them to elect credible leaders.
She commended the Solution Ladies Movement for supporting Governor Soludo led administration.
The Mayor’s appeal underscores the crucial role women play in shaping the future of their communities through voting.
According to her, women are known for voting without compromise and consistently coming out to elect credible leaders. By participating in the CVR exercise, women can exercise their right to shape the direction of their communities.
