The death has been announced of the Queen of Nnewi, her Royal Highness, Lolo Catherine Orizu is dead.
Until her death, she was the first wife of His Royal Highness, Igwe Kenneth Orizu III of Nnewi.
She was also the matriarch of the Orizu Dynasty.
Igwe Orizu III , it could be noted, is the oldest serving monarch in Nigeria and beyond.
The Crown Prince, Prince Charles Obi Orizu broke the news in a terse statement on Thursday.
