Hamas Deputy Leader Reveals Fate Of Israeli Hostages After Confirming Sinwar’s Death

Khalil al-Hayya, the deputy head of Hamas, confirmed the death of Yahya Sinwar, the group’s leader, on Friday.

Al-Hayya declared after Sinwar’s passing that he would never release Israeli hostages until the Gaza War was over.

Al-Hayya, who is currently living in exile in Qatar, stated that the murder of Sinwar will not alter Hamas’ stance.

“We are continuing Hamas’s path,” al-Hayya declared in his first remarks since Sinwar’s passing, adding that the “banner will not fall.”

Recall how Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu announced Sinwar’s death but insisted it would not put an end to the war in Gaza?

“Yahya Sinwar is dead, he was killed in Rafah by the brave soldiers of the Israel Defense Forces.

“While this is not the end of the war in Gaza, it’s the beginning of the end,” Netanyahu said.

Sinwar’s death represents yet another development in the continuing war between Hamas and Israel.

One of the masterminds of the October 7, 2023 attack that murdered over 1,000 people in Israel, Sinwar, was killed in a shootout between Israeli soldiers and Hamas forces, the Israeli military reported Thursday.
