Some unidentified gunmen numbering about Six have abducted a director of the Rivers State Board of Internal Revenue Service, Aribibia Fubara
The abduction took place after the armed men arrived at the Marine Base axis in a speedboat, shooting indiscriminately into the air before targeting Fubara and escaping with him in their boat.
The Rivers Police Command has confirmed the incident and launched a comprehensive investigation, with the Commissioner of Police ordering a thorough search and rescue operation to ensure Fubara’s safe return and the apprehension of the suspects.
The abductors have yet to establish contact with Fubara’s family, leaving them in a state of distress and uncertainty.
The police are working tirelessly to track down the kidnappers and rescue Fubara, and an appeal has been made to the public to provide any information that may lead to the arrest of the suspects.
The Rivers State Government has also condemned the abduction and promised to do everything possible to ensure Fubara’s safe release.
