The leader of Core Abia Mandate group, Comr. Michael Ogonnaya has cautioned Aisha Yesufu a Kano-born social critic, to redirect her attention away from Abia State. The warning comes in response to Yesufu’s probing questions regarding the financial activities of Governor Alex Otti.

Yesufu’s attempt to criticize Governor Otti in an article titled “Aisha Yesufu Knocks Gov. Otti for Spending N927m on Refreshments, Others” has been labeled as political slander by Ogonnaya.

He emphasizes that her focus should remain on her home state, Edo, and questions her involvement in Abia State’s budget performance report.

The statement highlights Yesufu’s alleged evasion of issues in her own state, where, according to Ogonnaya, the government’s financial situation requires scrutiny.

The warning underscores that Abia State does not welcome unnecessary distractions, especially from individuals like Yesufu, whom Ogonnaya describes as a “notorious clout chaser.”

Ogonnaya urges Yesufu to address concerns in Edo, insinuating that her rejection and ostracization by her people may be the reason for her focus on Abia.

He dismissed Yesufu’s allegations against Governor Alex Otti, adding that he is an ordained leader unlike others who allegedly spend public funds recklessly. Ogonnaya suggests that Yesufu’s scrutiny is targeted specifically at the southeast and Abia State.
