In response to the recent surge in attacks by terror groups and the abduction of school children in Kuriga, Governor Uba Sani of Kaduna State held an emergency meeting with key stakeholders from Birnin-Gwari, Chikun, Giwa, Igabi, Kachia, and Kagarko LGAs. The meeting aimed to review the security situation, assess intelligence gathering and sharing efforts, and take decisive steps to degrade the terrorists responsible for the destruction of lives and livelihoods.
During the meeting, which was attended by Heads of Security Agencies, Governor Uba Sani expressed his unwavering commitment to ensuring the safe return of the abducted children and containing the menace posed by the terror groups. He has been working tirelessly across all levels of government and security architecture to address the situation.
One of the key issues addressed during the meeting was the identification and handling of informants at the local level. Governor Uba Sani emphasized the importance of traditional rulers, religious leaders, local government chairmen, and other stakeholders in assisting security agencies with intelligence. It was stressed that everyone must come together to root out the evil elements within the communities. Governor Uba Sani pledged to lead the battle from the front, recognizing that the current situation calls for extraordinary sacrifice, cooperation, and commitment.
Furthermore, Governor Uba Sani expressed gratitude to President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, GCFR, for his unwavering support and empathy in bringing back the abducted school children and stabilizing the security situation in Kaduna State. The governor acknowledged President Tinubu’s dedication to leaving no stone unturned in resolving the crisis.
