In a heartwarming display of philanthropy and commitment to his alma mater, Eng’r Chizitere Ahubelem, a distinguished alumnus of the Federal University of Technology Owerri (FUTO), has embarked on a monumental project to construct ultra-modern marble plated signposts for 14 landmark buildings within the university premises.
The foundation laying ceremony, which marked the commencement of the first phase of the project, which is which is 5 signposts took place today, December 4, 2024, and was attended by the SUG President of FUTO and the Dean of Student Affairs.
Eng’r Ahubelem, a renowned APC chieftain who contested for the position of Executive Chairman Isiala Mbano LGA in the recently concluded Imo LGA Elections.. A successful software engineer, who graduated from the Electrical and Electronics Engineering Department of FUTO, has consistently demonstrated his passion for giving back to his alma mater. This latest project is a testament to his commitment to the university’s growth and development.
The ultra-modern marble plated signposts will not only serve as a means for easy identification of the buildings but will also aid easy navigation and serve beautification purposes.
