The Federal Road Safety Corps, has reported the organization of 800 staff for exceptional watch tasks in Beñue State to guarantee mishap free Christmas merriments.
The various axis assigned to coordinate includes Wurukum Roundabout, Benue Link’s U- turn, SRS Junction, Bolek Filling Station Junction, along Modern Market road, all in Makurdi town, as well as Agan Toll Gate.
This was disclosed by the Sector commander, Corps Commander Stephen Ayodele in an interview with journalists in Makurdi.
Ayodele urges motorists plying routes in the state to strictly observe traffic rules and regulations.
He pleads with drivers against using worn-out tyres, avoid over loading, over speeding and driving under the influence of alcohol.
Ayodele further disclosed that the personnel were made up of both regular and special Marshalls.
“The command has identified traffic dreadlock areas and accident prone spots with the intention to give adequate attention to such places.
He added that the command would do everything possible to also ensure that road accident victims were attended to and on time.
