Former Senate President Anyim Pius Anyim has met with President Bola Tinubu at the Presidential Villa in Abuja on Wednesday.
This meeting comes after Anyim’s recent defection from the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) to the All Progressives Congress (APC).
Anyim was accompanied by Imo State Governor, Senator Hope Uzodimma, and Ebonyi State Governor, Francis Nwifuru, during the meeting with President Tinubu.
After the meeting, Anyim briefed journalists, stating that he joined the APC to contribute to the country’s development.
He emphasized his commitment to Nigeria’s progress, saying, “There is a need that we all should put hands together to move the country forward.”
Anyim highlighted the importance of collective effort in addressing the country’s challenges, saying, “The country is passing through turbulent times, and it is the duty of all patriots to ensure a peaceful atmosphere.”
