President Bola Tinubu has reportedly issued a stern caution to the Minister of Federal Capital Territory, Nyesom Wike, for his alleged abandonment of ministerial duties in favour of active involvement in Rivers State politics.
Report suggests that President Bola Tinubu expressed discontent after Wike was observed participating in numerous political gatherings in Port Harcourt, abandoning his current responsibilities as the FCT Minister.
According to a political analyst and activist, Omatayo Williams, who disclosed this on his verified X account, stated that Tinubu advised Wike to concentrate on his duties as the FCT Minister or relocate to Rivers state to fully engage in local politics.
He wrote: “𝗕𝗿𝗲𝗮𝗸𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗡𝗲𝘄𝘀: Information reaching me from my ever reliable sources at the villa is that Alhaji Tinubu has issued a warning to Wike. Warns him to face his role as the FCT minister or fully relocate to Rivers state to play local politics. This is coming after Wike has been picture in several political gatherings at Port Harcourt, in-spite of his current role as FCT minister.”
