Empowerment Foundation Inaugurates Health Post and Grants Scholarships in Anambra

The Empowerment Foundation, led by Founder and Chairperson Amb. Onyinye Gift Uwaechia, has opened a health post in Onitsha to provide healthcare services to the less privileged. The inauguration ceremony, held at Living Christ Nursery and Primary School, also saw the awarding of scholarships to 100 underprivileged pupils in the state.

The Empowerment Foundation, a non-governmental organization (NGO) founded by Amb. Onyinye Gift Uwaechia, has taken a significant step towards improving healthcare access in Onitsha, Anambra. The inauguration of the health post, which took place at Living Christ Nursery and Primary School, aimed to cater to the health needs of indigent individuals in the area.

During the ceremony, Amb. Onyinye Gift Uwaechia, the foundation’s founder and chairperson, expressed the intention to establish a Health Centre in the future to accommodate a larger population and provide more comprehensive health services.

Amb. Gift emphasized that the foundation’s goal is to positively impact people’s lives and raise awareness among young individuals about their environment and health. By empowering individuals, the foundation aims to create a ripple effect of positive change in society.

To promote cleanliness and a healthy lifestyle, the foundation distributed over 700 basic cleaning kits, including toothpaste, toothbrushes, hand wash, and sanitizers, among other materials. These kits were provided to pupils of varying classes at Living Christ Nursery and Primary School, Onitsha.

The inauguration of the health post and the granting of scholarships to underprivileged pupils demonstrate the Empowerment Foundation’s commitment to making a difference in the lives of individuals in Anambra.

Through their efforts, they aim to empower and inspire the younger generation to take responsibility for their environment and well-being.
