Ekiti Governor Weeps With Indigenes Over Tragic Deaths

Following yesterday’s tragic incidents, the Executive Governor of Ekiti state, visited Esun Ekiti and Imojo Ekiti to commiserate with the immediate families, the leaders, and indigenes of the two towns over the loss of two selfless royal fathers.


He also visited the palace of the Chairman of the State Council of Traditional Rulers, HRM Oba Ayorinde Ilori-Faboro, the Olojudo of Ido-Ekiti, to extend his condolences to the entire Council members.

He conveyed the firm assurance given to him by President Bola Ahmed Tinubu when he called to commiserate with him on the matter.

He further said that the President’s words were very reassuring, and the people appreciated the call.


He also noted that the President also assured that security resources would be mobilised to help bring the killers to book and rescue the abducted children and their teachers and further thanked his Excellency for the undiluted support. “What is important to us is the security of the lives and property of our people. We have been working with our security agencies to ensure this and have had relative peace until now.
This setback is quite saddening and unfortunate. As a firm believer in the sanctity of life, I will not tolerate any attempt by marauders to breach the hard-earned peace in our state”.
