The Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) in Edo State has announced the dates for the collection of Permanent Voter Cards (PVCs).

According to Timidi Wariowei, INEC’s Head of Department for Voter Education and Publicity, the collection exercise will take place from August 22 to 30.

The commission has designated two phases for the collection of PVCs.

The first phase will take place at the ward headquarters from August 22 to 26, where registered voters can present themselves to collect their PVCs.

The second phase will take place at the INEC local government council offices from August 28 to 30.

Wariowei emphasized that PVCs can only be collected in person, stating, ‘There is no PVC collection by proxy.’ He urged all registered voters who have not yet collected their PVCs to take advantage of this opportunity to do so.

The collection of PVCs is a crucial step in the electoral process, as it enables registered voters to exercise their right to vote in upcoming elections.

INEC has assured that the collection process will be smooth and efficient, and has encouraged all eligible voters to participate.”
