Economic Hardship: Protesters Hit Lagos Streets Despite Police Warning

A human rights group known as “Take It Back Movement” on Monday hit the streets of Lagos State to protest against the soaring price of food and the high cost of living in the country.

This protest was held against the warning issued by the Lagos State Commissioner of Police, Adegoke Fayoade, on Sunday.

The protesters were seen carrying placards with different inscriptions at Ojuelegba under bridge area of the state to make their grievances known on the current economic hardship across the country.

This follows a similar protest also today in Edo and Oshogbo with the protesters displaying placards with messages to the authorities

On Tuesday Organised labour is expected to begin a two day nationwide demonstrations in protest of the high cost of living

This is despite government warning to labour to shelve the action.
